    We delivered a fresh and innovative interior transformation for Santander’s new Works Café in Oxford, creating a modern, welcoming environment that redefines the traditional banking experience.

  • The project involved a full refurbishment spanning from the basement through to the fourth floor. A key feature of the redevelopment was the creation of a striking multi-level atrium, extending from the ground floor up to the second floor. This structural intervention opened up the space dramatically, allowing natural light to flow throughout and enhancing visual connectivity between levels.

  • The newly formed atrium creates an immediate sense of openness upon entering the branch, establishing a contemporary and inviting atmosphere. At the heart of the space sits the Works Café, designed to encourage customers to relax, work, and engage in a more informal banking environment while enjoying refreshments.

    The design balances functionality with aesthetic appeal, supporting both customer experience and operational efficiency. Careful coordination ensured the seamless integration of architectural, structural, and interior elements throughout the building.

  • The completed Works Café in Oxford delivers a dynamic, customer-focused environment that aligns with Santander’s evolving brand. The transformation enhances footfall, encourages longer visits, and supports a more engaging and community-oriented banking experience.
