    This project involved the creation of a new PureGym facility in Dartford, transforming a previously single-storey commercial unit into a high-capacity, multi-level fitness space.

  • The previous occupier’s fit-out was fully stripped back to the base build, allowing for a complete reconfiguration of the internal layout. A key element of the project was the installation of a new full-floor mezzanine structure, effectively doubling the usable floor area across the unit.

  • The mezzanine was designed and installed across the entirety of the floor plate, significantly increasing operational capacity while maintaining clear spatial flow and compliance with structural and building regulations. Careful coordination was required to integrate the new structure within the existing building envelope.

    The layout was developed to optimise member experience, ensuring efficient circulation between training zones, reception, and support spaces, alongside the introduction of new shower facilities and a dedicated women-only training area. The design supports the functional requirements of a modern gym environment while maintaining a strong, open feel throughout the space, promoting both accessibility and comfort for all users.

  • The completed PureGym Dartford facility delivers a high-quality, expanded fitness space that maximises the potential of the original unit. The addition of the mezzanine significantly enhances usable area, enabling a wider range of equipment zones and improving overall member capacity and experience.
